    How cheap is Pristhina?

I visited Pristhina, the capital city of the new country, Kosovo. It was an interesting experience going to a place where there are many rumours about its safety. But one thing is for sure, it’s safe to travel to Pristhina. Though the city is not modern yet, you can feel the ambiance of its own culture and history. Another best thing is the price. It’s so cheap to be there. Here you can see why. I travelled there with my mom, so the prices below are for two people. Hotel We stayed in a guesthouse not far from the city centre. Around 18 minutes walking, according to Google Maps. We…

    Pristhina, the new city

I have just arrived back from Pristhina, the capital city of Kosovo. It’s a relatively new country who gained independence in 2008 from Serbia. However, Serbia doesn’t acknowledge Kosovo as a country so it is said that the country is not safe. However, the truth is different. In this post I will mainly share some characteristic of the city. Get on a taxi with taxi meter I arrived to Pristhina International Airport at noon. Since there is no public transport from the airport to the city we had to take buses. Before leaving I read that we should find a taxi which has taxi meter, otherwise we would have to…

The most beautiful landscape of Slovenia

On our way home we stopped in Slovenia. Since we were only there for a few hours and I can’t explain the impression it left in me, this post will have more pictures than text. We visited Vintgar gorge to have a rest and to enjoy the beautiful, natural landscape. Before I have seen photos about Lake Bled and I fell in love with it, so Slovenia got onto my bucket list. This time I couldn’t see the Lake Bled, but I could see the landscape with full of mountain with green trees and the gorge. Venice and Bibione

After leaving Florence we went to Venice and then my brother came for us and we headed to Bibione by car. We only spent 3.5 hours in Venice and then 3 another days in Bibione to have a rest with the whole family. Venice I have been to Venice once 2 years ago. That time I went on an organized bus tour which was only for 1 day. I was really tired, since we had to sleep in the car for 2 nights and that 1 day was a rush. We saw all the famous tourist sights and even went to another island, Murano to see how the glass is…

    Pisa and Cinque Terre

During our stay in Florence we took a day to visit Pisa and Cinque Terre. However the road wasn’t easy. But it was definitely worth to see them. Problems on the road It was raining in the morning. So I was really afraid if we could visit Pisa that day. I checked the weather forecast and it said the rain would stop in 1 hour. My mum also said this rain wouldn’t last long. I believed in it, so I decided to go. We went to Pisa by Trenitalia. From Florence it would only take 1 hour to get to Pisa. But 1 station before the destination the train stopped…

    Beautiful and simple Florence

Our 6th city of Europe tour was Florence. Florence is an art and historical city. It is considered the birthplace of the Renaissance. The family Medici came from here, who supported the style Renaissance in 14th century. Thanks to Beatrice of Aragon, the style was introduced to Hungary during the reign of King Matthias. Besides, many artist’s masterpiece can be found here. David of Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci’s paintings can all be seen in museums here. Florence also plays an important part of Italian fashion. There is even a leather street market here. Day 1 We arrived to Villa Constanza T1 at noon by Flixbus and where we arrived was in the…

    Historical and fascinating Rome

We flew from Vienna to Rome on 18th and stayed there until 22nd of July. In the ancient era Italy used to be one of the strongest country. Therefore there are many historical monuments left there that visitors can see. That’s why there are many tourists as well. From the pictures I was amazed by its fountain, but the reality was a bit different. Day 1 We arrived at 4pm and got to our apartment by minibus from the airport. I was so tired after many days of running so that time I didn’t have more energy to find a route more. So we wanted to go to our apartment…

Vienna – the medieval but powerful appearance

After Brussels we went back to Hungary for a day to attend my graduation ceremoy on 16th July. The next day on 17th July at 6:45 we got on the bus to Vienna. We went by Flixbus and arrived to Vienna at 9:45. Vienna is a neighborhood country of Hungary and during the history the two country used to be one as Austro-Hungarian Empire. Therefore there are similarities between the two capital city’s structure, however, in my opinion I find Vienna medieval but much more luxurious and royal. After arriving we took metro and tram to our accommodation and left our luggage there. Then we went to Schönbrunn Palace by…

    Colourful Amsterdam

After we left Brussels we went to Amsterdam for a night. Amsterdam is a city for many international students to attend higher education here. It is more colourful than just a simply university city. There are many parks, river and people would rather cycle than taking public transport. However, smoking weed is acceptable under certain condition and sexual related content is also exposed. I find it so strange that many things like that could stay in one place. Sightseeing We went there from Brussels by Ouibus and arrived at 19:15. We bought a ticket for 16 EUR for 4 people: 3 adults were only valid for 1 hour, the child’s…
